About Love, Faith & Action Outreach

Founded in February 2023, Love, Faith & Action Outreach (LFAO) was born out of a deep love for people and a desire to reflect Christ through service. We are a Kingdom Minded organization dedicated to spreading hope, compassion, and practical support to those in need.

Our calling is to be a living expression of Christ’s love by partnering with grassroots organizations and local agencies to uplift underserved individuals and families. Guided by the example of Jesus and inspired by Romans 12:9–13 (NLT), we strive to serve with sincerity, honor others, and practice true hospitality.

The heart of LFAO is intertwined with Cathy Cares, a ministry founded by the family of board member Michele Lucas in honor of her beloved Aunt Cathy. While living in El Paso, Texas, Michele and founder Monica McGowan formed a friendship that was clearly God-ordained. It blossomed into a shared mission of love and service. Together, they began meeting the needs of their local community, supported by faithful family, friends, and partners.

In 2022, following God’s guidance, Monica and her family relocated to South Carolina, carrying the passion for giving with them and expanding their outreach into new communities. Their dedication continues to reflect love, faith, and purpose in everything they do.

Grounded in faith, driven by love, and committed to action, we continue to grow and serve—bringing light, hope, and healing to every community God leads us to.

With the support of board member Moray Syce, we have expanded internationally. His family’s legacy of faith began with a ministry founded by his grandmother, and that foundation continues to bear fruit today.

Through this connection, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with the Covenant Independent Congregation of Churches of South Africa (CICCSA), extending our mission and service to those in need across borders. This collaboration reflects the strength of generational faith and shared compassion.
